For people seriously involved in jogging, the main thing is the correct choice of special shoes. 7) It is better if the loop lacing is not united by a single rigid strap. They should have the possibility of some shifting, so sneakers can be pulled tighter on the leg. However, there’s no hard necessity in that option.

8) The insole should be removable for orthopedic needs.

9) The total weight of the sneakers should not exceed 400g.

But that’s not all. If sneakers are suitable for running, that doesn’t mean they are automatically good for you. There are several factors that you should consider.

Of course, it seems to be a common and standing rule, and even if you’re in doubt about what size of shoes would suit you, you can always check the shoe size chart.   • Despite the hopes of many people, there are no such sneakers out there that are well ventilated and wet-resistant at the same time. Even some type of fabric specially designed to solve this problem is not always successfully cope with it.


  • The surface, on which we run, primarily affects the sole of the shoe. If it’s treadmill, asphalt or some other hard and smooth surface, the flat soft sole is suitable. On the dirt tracks and similar soils, the more soft sole is required – its tread should be deeper to improve the kickback. Running through the woods, with bad weather conditions, requires even more tread – and sometimes even iron spikes, just for the sake of not slipping on the trunks of fallen trees, ice, etc.
